FIGHTING FOR REAL DEMOCRATIC VALUES

My name is Giona Picheco. I’m running for State Representative in District 14 to fight for Cranston and Providence at the State House.

 

I got active in politics to defend my rights and my community. I saw a Republican President attack LGBTQ+ people, veterans, young people trying to afford college, and working people too. And even worse, people cheered him on. My own rights were threatened and I knew I needed to fight back and stand up for the communities I loved and identified with. Locally in Cranston, I’ve worked together with my neighbors to elect Democratic champions, and it has been amazing to see the change we’ve already been able to make.
